Network Administrator
Position Description
The Network Administrator will be responsible for maintaining and administering a local office network as well as setting up, deploying, and monitoring off site data centers. Experience designing, planning, implementing and supporting Microsoft Exchange Server and Active Directory is required. In addition, this candidate must provide documented experience in Cisco Hardware and Networking.Responsibilities
- Ability to be on-call and work flexible hours
- Experience supporting data centers
- Ability to work in a structured team environment as well as independently
- Ability to design, implement, migrate, administer and document network infrastructures - Technologies include switches, routers, firewalls, VPN etc
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Windows 2000/2003 server, Active Directory, MS Exchange2000/2003, Veritas Backup, and recovery and anti-virus tools
- Experience with build out and maintenance of storage area networks
- 2-3 years of Microsoft Windows 2000/2003 Server administration experience including network design, installation and support.
- 2-3 years experience with Cisco Networking
- Experience installing-supporting MYSQL and SQL 2005
- Strong knowledge of Network printing and File Sharing
- Experience with Server Side Backup Software and Blackberry Enterprise Software
- Experience with Network Monitoring, Load Balancing, Inter-VLAN routing and OS Virtualization
- Knowledge of Avaya phone systems and Sharepoint helpful
- 2-3 years of desktop support
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills
