First Watch Launches Complimentary WiFi Internet Access
Bradenton, FL, February 20, 2007 - First Watch Restaurants, Inc.
the nation's fastest-growing daytime dining restaurant, announced today
that is has launched complimentary wireless fidelity (WiFi) Internet access
at all company restaurants.
"Many customers rely on mobile technology on a daily basis, and free
wireless Internet access is certainly an advantage for these people," said
Chris Tomasso, Chief Marketing Officer, First Watch Restaurants, Inc. "By
offering complimentary WiFi, we are enhancing the overall guest experience
and encouraging more frequent visits to First Watch."
A recent survey commissioned by the Specialty Coffee Association found
that 11 percent of customers cited wireless Internet access as a factor in
choosing one cafe over another. "One reason could be the growing trend in
business breakfasts or "Power Breakfasts" as they have come to be known,"
Tomasso said. "First Watch already appeals widely to the business community
and is the frequent recipient of "Best Power Breakfast" accolades and
recognition," added Tomasso. "Complimentary WiFi Internet access will only
enhance the relationship with this audience." First Watch has plans to add
more than 15 new restaurants in 2007 - all of which will open with WiFi
readily available.
To implement the program, First Watch partnered with Wandering WiFi, an
Atlanta, GA-based HotSpot and corporate wireless infrastructure solution
provider. The goal was to provide a user-friendly system, whereby customers
may access the Internet without complicated, lengthy login processes and
credit card requirements.
